11 bison were transported 700 km from Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana to Mosquito-Grizzly Bear’s Head-Lean Man First Nation, Saskatchewan.

The bison came from the Yellowstone National Park herd and marked the first transfer of Yellowstone bison to Canada under the Buffalo Treaty.
